There is something to be said about a simple formula. Skincare doesn't always need to be so complicated, and less can certainly mean more. Sometimes, a little manual exfoliation is all you need to create a supple, even canvas for whatever you decide comes next.
In recent years, manual exfoliation has become somewhat vilified, and has taken a back seat, but we really do believe it can be powerful for certain skin types - especially when the formula only contains three ingredients.
Brightening Face Polish by Brown and Coconut is one of our favourite manual exfoliating products to date. It uses flours - specifically oat and brown rice flours - instead of salt or coffee gains, to gently break up and remove dead skin cells. In general, flour is more finely ground than salt or coffee, making this product suitable for sensitive skin in need of a more speedy cellular turnover process.
This polish comes dry - which we love.
Dry formulas tend to equal a longer product shelf-life in general, and they mean complete flexibility in terms of personal customization. You can mix this polish with water - using only what you need, when you need it - or an oil-based serum if your skin is particularly dry. You can also combine this polish with your favourite cleanser for a customized cleanse that works double duty.
Use within 10 months of purchase. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep water and moisture out of the jar for maximum shelf life.
